The rolled and sealed lower rim has a wonderful black band baked right into the porcelain. These were among the highest priced green shallow bowl reflectors when originally manufactured in the 1920's - 1940's. They were engineered to be upper-end and they truly are.These lights would do well outdoors as well as inside. The socket is nicely protected with new factory cut cork gaskets. These lights are the perfect light for gooseneck mounting.The diameter of the shade is 16 inches. The goosenecks are hand-produced by a retired electrician in West Virginia, NOBODY does it better! I'm not sure how he does it but they are all identical. From the wall to the center of the light is 18 inches, 21" available upon request.. These goosenecks are extremely strong.
